5-Day Faith Blog Setup Guide
Start the blog God put in your heart — one step at a time.

Day 1: Choose Your Blog’s Mission
Why are you starting this blog? Who is it for?
Before you pick a name, buy hosting, or write your first post, pause and pray. Ask God to show you what He wants this blog to accomplish.
- Are you helping moms stay grounded in Scripture?
- Sharing your testimony to bring hope?
- Writing devotionals for women battling anxiety?
- Encouraging young women with biblical modesty?
Some of the links below are affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission if you choose a service — at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we trust and believe can truly help you launch your blog with confidence. Thank you for supporting this guide and our work!
Write your mission in one sentence. It will guide everything else you do.
"Write the vision and make it plain..." — Habakkuk 2:2

Day 2: Pick a Name That Reflects Your Calling
You don’t need the perfect name. You just need a clear one.
Think of a name that reflects your blog’s mission and makes sense to the women you’re trying to reach.
- Keep it short and memorable.
- Avoid complicated spellings or long phrases.
- Add a word like "faith," "grace," "journey," or "reflections" if it fits.
Example ideas:
- FaithfulSteps.com
- GraceInTheWaiting.org
- ModestyMatters.net
Pray over it, then write down 3 possible names.

Day 3: Get Hosting and Set Up Your Site
This is the part that scares most people. But it’s easier than you think.
Here’s the short version:
- Choose your hosting provider. (We recommend GreenGeeks, SiteGround, ScalaHosting, InterServer, WPX, or Kinsta — all reviewed in our blog posts.)
- Click to start a plan (usually the "Start" or "WordPress" option).
- Register your blog name as your domain (e.g., GraceInTheWaiting.org).
- Use 1-click WordPress install.
- Choose a free theme to start with (we like Astra, Kadence, or Neve).
You don’t need to customize everything today. Just get your blog online.
Some links we recommend may be affiliate links. If you decide to purchase through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you — which helps keep this guide free for others. Thank you for your support!

Day 4: Write Your First Blog Post
This doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be real.
Start with a "Welcome" or "Why I’m Here" post:
- Share your heart.
- Tell your readers who this blog is for.
- Let them know what to expect.
Don’t overthink formatting or design right now. Just write from your heart. You can revise it later, but you can’t revise what was never written.
"They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony..." — Revelation 12:11

Day 5: Publish + Pray
You just launched your online ministry.
This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being obedient. Once your first post is live, pause and thank God for what He’s just started.
You’re officially a Christian blogger now. From here, you can:
- Share your post on social media or with friends
- Add new posts weekly or monthly
- Invite readers to comment or email you
- Pray over every woman who visits
"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin..." — Zechariah 4:10
