Running for Our Lives—But Not Alone

Salvation is personal—but it was never meant to be private.

Paul said, “I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:22). He understood that the Christian walk isn’t just about our own rescue. It’s about grabbing the hands of others as we run—warning them, urging them, and inviting them to come along.

Picture it: a fire raging behind us. We’re not running alone. As we flee the danger of judgment, we’re calling out, knocking on doors, reaching into broken homes and hearts—pleading, “Come with us! There’s still time!”

This is the Church—not an event, not a brand, but a movement of rescued rescuers. And in this hour, that calling has never been more urgent.

Christ Is Not Divided

But something tragic has crept into the Church: competition.

Somewhere along the way, this rescue mission started to feel like a rivalry. One church versus another. One denomination looking down on the next. One ministry measuring its value by likes, shares, and follower counts. But this is not the Spirit of Christ.

Paul asked a sobering question in 1 Corinthians 1:13: “Is Christ divided?”

We must remember—He is one. His body is one. His mission is one. And we, though many, are members of that one body. None of us knows it all. None of us gets everything right. But we’re all still in the **school of the Spirit**, learning, growing, and being refined by grace.

So let’s put aside jealousy, comparison, and criticism. We are not rivals—we are runners. And we are running for our lives, doing all we can—like Paul—to save some.

Unity in Purpose

Our callings may look different. Some preach on stages. Others write quietly behind keyboards. Some are mothers raising arrows for the kingdom. Others are teachers, mentors, counselors, or bloggers. But the call is the same: Go.

Jesus commanded, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). The world includes your street, your inbox, and yes—your website.

When you start a blog to share God’s Word, you are building a lighthouse. You’re raising a signal of hope. You’re making your voice one of the many calling out through the smoke, saying, “This way! Follow Christ!”

Your Role in the Rescue Movement

If you’ve been sensing the urgency, it’s not just emotion—it’s a spiritual signal. The Holy Spirit is stirring believers everywhere to rise, speak, write, and share the gospel however they can.

And while we may feel unqualified, uncertain, or unseen, that never stopped God from using His people. He’s not looking for perfection. He’s looking for obedience.

So whether you’re just starting your blog or you’ve been laboring in ministry for years, remember:

  • You’re not in competition.
  • You’re part of a calling.
  • You are one of the rescued rescuers.
